Description
Oil breakdown causes sludge which increases wear, acids and corrosion, shortening equipment life. All modern oils contain additives that inhibit breakdown. As these additives are depleted, sludge is formed. The Vital Fluid Analysis Report Card analysis tool measures the level of sludge or debris in the oil, indicating whether the fluid is in good condition, needs to be changed or is overdue for replacement.
The process is simple. When a sample of lubricant is placed on the special filter paper, the lubricant will percolate through, leaving any sludge or debris behind. The presence of a significant amount of sludge or debris, generally visible as a dark ring on the substrate, this gives you a clear indication of whether the fluid has reached or passed its useful life. FluidRx One Drop Testing provides quick and accurate visual confirmation that its time to change a lubricant. Proper fluid maintenance will help ensure performance, extend equipment service life, and reduce overall maintenance costs.
The inner panels of the Vital Fluid Analysis Report Card has a five spot test sheet framed by the diagnostics charts. These report cards include
testing & diagnostics for:
- DOT 3 & DOT 4 Brake
- Conventional & F-Series Power Steering
- Dexron & Mercon Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)
- Differential, Transfer Case, or Manual Transmission Fluids
- Gasoline or Diesel Motor Oil
As well as instructions for the testing and analysis process.
Sampling Method: Withdraw the engine or transmission dipstick and allow a few generous drops to form on the end. Deposit the fluid drops on the One Drop Test Sheet by lightly touching the end of the dipstick on the medium sheet, in one of the circles. Leave the One Drop Test sheet in a horizontal position for a few minutes and then compare it to the reference chart. Simply evaluate a fluids condition by matching each sample to the certified photographic representation of the in lab tests results.
